Does Satan want Gods forgiveness but is to proud to ask and if he did would it be given?

If you read the faust legend, and various stories based on it both serious and comical ie Bedazzled, you will see that there is a subplot that runs alongside the main story of Satan 7 wishes for a soul, and that sub plot is that at the end of the story, Satan has had enough of his role of accuser/tempter and tries to get back to God but is to proud and arrogant to ask directly.Of course God sees right through this and throws Satan back to hell again and the story starts all over again.Do you think that Satan wants to return and will he be eventually allowed back into heaven
